Forensic examiner, Dr Jack McCain, dealing with a runaway daughter and a vengeful ex-wife, attempts to solve a series of vicious mutilation murders of men, while trying to solve the mystery of what happened to his little sister Rosie in the summer of ’75.

Gabrielle Lord is often referred to as Australia’s first lady of crime, having written fifteen crime novels and a 12-volume thriller series for young adults. Her first novel FORTRESS was a huge international success and was made into a feature film starring Rachel Ward. She is a past recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Australian Crime Writers Association.

Why have I not heard of this woman, her work sounds wonderful and when there is such a dearth of really good female crime writers we should be shouting her praises from the rooftops. Come on lets her it for the girls.....

Hi Gabrielle - so pleased you've found out about Garbrielle Lord's books now. There's a lot of really fabulous Australian crime writers out there - and they all need us to shout their praises! As do the great Australian male writers as well :)
