Call for entries: Humour Writing Prize and National Biography Award

Entries are now open for the $10,000 Russell Prize for Humour Writing and the $25,000 National Biography Award 2017.

The Russell Prize for Humour Writing is a biennial prize, established at the bequest of Peter Wentworth Russell, awarded to the best book of humour writing by an Australian author published in the previous two years. Entries close: Friday 3 February 2017.  Enter now.

The National Biography Award is Australia’s richest prize for biographical writing and memoir, with $1,000 awarded for each shortlisted author. It is administered and presented by the State Library of NSW on behalf of the Award’s benefactor Mr Michael Crouch AO.
